For an older person, the cold can have a devastating impact on their physical and mental health. Risks include raised blood pressure, stroke, heart attacks and falls. Being cold can lead to anxiety and depression. Our gift bags act as an intervention that can help to reduce the risks that older people face when they are cold.

A Warm in Winter gift bag helps an older person to feel warmer in their home, cared for and less lonely.

Every gift bag contains a fleece blanket, thermal socks, hat and gloves, soup, porridge and hot drinks, an activity book and pen and a useful pack of information and are given free to vulnerable, older people.
