one small act of kindness at a time

In 2025, we were immensely proud to celebrate 10 years of our incredible journey. Together with our volunteers, supporters and partners, we reflected on the past, celebrated the lasting difference our Small Acts of Kindness family continues to make, and looked ahead with excitement to the next decade.

Without the generosity and dedication of our amazing volunteers, supporters and funders, we would never have reached the hundreds of thousands of people across Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire who have experienced a small act of kindness, feeling cared for, less lonely and warmer in their homes.

To mark this milestone, we were delighted to host two celebratory events, giving us the opportunity to thank everyone who has helped us make such a meaningful difference. We also shared a photographic journey through the last 10 years, capturing our growth, our impact and the strengthening of our reach across Hertfordshire and into Bedfordshire.

We invited people to send us celebratory messages, and were overwhelmed by the heartfelt sentiments we received from partners, supporters and donors to volunteers, gift bag recipients and those who help distribute our gift bags. Each message was a reminder of the power of kindness and the community that makes our work possible.
