We are delighted to once again partner with Hertfordshire County Council to help support vulnerable people across the county. Working in partnership with the Children and Young People Team, we have successfully and efficiently delivered 400 Health, Care and Kindness Bags, a new project, with the help of our wonderful volunteer family.

The Health, Care and Kindness Bags aim to bring a little warmth and kindness into the lives of vulnerable, young people in Hertfordshire. They contain items to help improve health and wellbeing, as well as providing information about local services which can offer support if they are struggling. The bag includes a phone power pack, shower gel, toothpaste and toothbrush, a water bottle, nutritional snack bars and a fleece blanket.

Utilising our skillset to source products, organise and manage the logistics of packing hundreds of bags and liaise with partners for distribution, we are extremely proud of what we have achieved.

All 400 gift bags were packed and ready to go in just a few hours. Our volunteer family have always shown their support and kindness when asked, and this time was no different. Peter and Julie have been volunteering with us for a few years. When we asked why they volunteered for this project they said, “ We enjoy volunteering for Small Acts of Kindness because it's a worthwhile cause and it’s such a friendly environment to be in. We love meeting new volunteers and catching up with familiar faces. It was especially nice this time to know that we were helping a younger population with their transition into independent life.”

The gift bags have been part funded by Public Health and the Building Life Chances initiative.
